About Madni’s Artists:
The craft of camel bone artistry is one of the most intricate art forms of India. MADNI HANDICRAFT from Pipar city are one such master artisans.
Their facial features are tough to see as they are covered in bone-dust from head to toe, like a uniform that wraps them in their identity of being indicator of a dying art form—the intricate and beautiful camel bone handicrafts. The machines used in the craft are delicate, and equally dangerous. They are sharper than the sharpest knives.
The fight to get them recognition and give meaning to their work, which also involved economic support, has been tough for them .
They are an inspiration for those who are fighting this battle every day.
Their each handicraft demands the artist undergo a tremendous amount of hard work for its creation, and consumers need to respect and award that.
Walking Stick:
One thing that I always remember from childhood memories is when I see this walking stick. My maternal grandfather, when he got ready to go outside, he used to say loudly “my stick?” I used to run very fast and give his walking stick in his hand. In return I used to get a lovely kiss and smile, only for this affection I love to do this. that was my everyday routine
Old Age is when one needs a lot of care to carry on in life and this is where the family members come into the picture. Sons and daughters become the walking stick of the grandparents while the grandkids act as torch lighting up their life. The role of each person in the family is important to help the grandparents live their life whole-heartedly.
Who Uses Walking Stick: Wooden walking–sticks are used for outdoor sports, healthy upper-body exercise, and even club, department, and family memorials.
Origin Of Walking Stick: Around the 17th or 18th century, a stout rigid stick took over from the sword as an essential part of the European gentleman’s wardrobe, used primarily as a walking stick.
